Gary Qian

Gary Qian is a Senior Manager of Engineering at Western Digital, where they focus on automatic visual inspection solutions for mass production. Previously, Gary held positions as Director of Innovative Materials R&D at DigiLens, Inc. and Senior Scientist at Physical Optics Corp. They also served as Senior Manager of Product & Business Development at Optiva, where they developed production processes for specialty optical films. Gary is pursuing a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics at Kent State University, holds an MS in Nuclear Physics from the China Institute of Atomic Energy, and earned a BS in Physics from Wuhan University.
