Randy Simmons

Randy Simmons possesses extensive experience in the technology and pharmaceutical industries, with a career that began at Pfizer as a Research Scientist from 1981 to 1984. After moving to IBM in 1998, Randy served as Director of Design & Wafer Process Development and held various senior management positions until 2002. From 2003 to 2005, Randy worked at Hitachi GST as Director of Design and Product Development, followed by a role as Director of Engineering & World Wide Quality Assurance. Randy continued to advance in the field as Global Senior Director of Engineering & OEM at HGST, a Western Digital company, from 2009 until early 2014. Currently, Randy holds the position of Global Senior Director of Advanced Technology at Western Digital since January 2014. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science and a Ph.D. in Chemistry, both earned from the University at Buffalo.
