Tim Kang

Principal Engineer at Western Digital

Tim Kang is an accomplished Principal Engineer at Western Digital, with extensive experience in firmware development and security features for digital data storage devices. Since June 2014, Tim has contributed to the development and integration of next-generation security firmware and ARM-based controller host firmware while also supporting various firmware functionalities such as logging and bug fixing. Previously, Tim served as a Firmware Development Integration Intern at Western Digital and worked as a tutor and mentor for undergraduate students in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at UC Irvine. Tim holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from UC Irvine, along with an Associate of Science in Mathematics from El Camino College.
