Jonathan Armstrong has extensive work experience in the forestry and forest management industry. Jonathan began their career as a Forestry Technician at Liskeard Lumber Ltd. in 1993 and later worked as a Planning Forester at Timiskaming Forest Alliance Inc. from 1995 to 2001. Jonathan then served as a Forester at a Forest Consultant from 2001 to 2002 before becoming a Forest Engineer at Coast Forest Management from 2002 to 2003.

Jonathan Armstrong completed their Diploma in Integrated Resource Management in Forestry at Lakehead University from 1995 to 1997. Jonathan then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Forestry with a Co-op program at the same university from 1997 to 2001.
