Michaela Iorga, PhD, serves as an Advisory Board Member for Cloud/Network Engineering and Security Programs at Western Governors University and as an Advisory Council Member for The Cyber Guild. In addition, Michaela holds the position of Director for the Open Security Controls Assessment Language (OSCAL) Program at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where also directs the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program and chairs both the Public Cloud Security and Forensics Working Groups. At the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Michaela contributes as a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. Furthermore, Michaela is the Chair of the IEEE Northern Virginia Section. Michaela earned a Ph.D. in engineering from Duke University and a Master's degree in naval architecture from Universitatea din Galati.
