Dawn Collums

Dawn Collums is an accomplished educational professional currently serving as the Director of Special Services at Western Heights Public Schools since November 2023. Previously, Dawn held positions as the Special Education Teacher and Department Chair at Mustang Creek Elementary from July 2021 to November 2023, as well as a Special Education Teacher at Putnam City High School from August 2020 to July 2021. Dawn's experience also includes serving as the Dean of Student Learning and Director of Special Education at Harding Fine Arts Academy from July 2017 to August 2020, and a long tenure as a Special Education Teacher at Oklahoma City Public Schools from January 1991 to July 2019. In addition to educational roles, Dawn served as the President of the Board of Trustees at Prairie Dance Theatre from July 2015 to July 2019. Dawn holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Southern Nazarene University, along with a Master's of Arts in the same field from the same institution and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.
