Phil Weiss

Phil Weiss is an experienced TV Director/Producer at Western Illinois University since February 1999, responsible for writing and directing both studio and remote television productions, while also providing audiovisual support for live events and their live streaming on social media. In addition to this role, Phil serves as an Adjunct Instructor in the School of Communication and Media, the School of Music, and the Department of Broadcasting & Journalism. Since December 2018, Phil has taken on the position of Live Streaming Engineer/Coordinator within the School of Music, focusing on teaching students how to effectively develop and implement live video broadcasts of musical presentations. Phil holds a Master’s Degree in Recreation, Park & Tourism Administration and a Bachelor’s in Broadcasting, both from Western Illinois University.
