Ralph Swain is an experienced educational professional and community leader, currently serving as a Title III Instructional Designer at Western Iowa Tech Community College since February 2023, while also holding a position as a Commission Member for the Sioux City Historic Preservation Commission. Ralph has a long-standing involvement in the performing arts as the Owner/Manager of Great Plains Radio Theatre Project since 2007 and has been an Online Instructor for the Iowa Community College Online Consortium since 2003. Previously, Ralph held various leadership roles, including Humanities Division Chair at Western Iowa Tech Community College, where supervision extended over 85-90 faculty members, and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Nebraska Indian Community College. Ralph has also contributed to community initiatives as the Education Committee Chair for Siouxland Freedom Park and as a board member for Humanities Iowa and the Siouxland Institute of Film. Academic credentials include a BA and MA in Political Science and History from Colorado State University.
