Jim Hime has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Jim started their career as a freelance artist, accepting commissions for ink drawings and watercolors of homes. Jim then worked as the lead pen and ink artist for David A. Suplee Architectural Illustrators, where they produced numerous residential illustrations for advertising. After that, Jim started their own company, Jim Hime Designs, LLC, where they provided design and illustration services for architects and builders. Jim continued to work as an artist and designer until 2008 when they became an independent petroleum landman. During this time, they also worked as a mineral buyer for Viper Energy Partners LP, negotiating purchase agreements for mineral interests. In 2018, they joined Western Abstract & Title Company, where they served as a business development manager. Currently, Jim works as the business development director for Western Land Services, Inc.
Jim Hime attended Texas A&M University from 1975 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics.
