Lori Straube has a diverse work experience in finance and administration. Lori worked as the Associate Dean for Administration and Finance and Chief Operating Officer at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker, M.D. School of Medicine starting from February 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director, Physician Services at the University of Chicago Physicians Group from May 2015 to February 2017. Lori also held the role of Director of Financial Services at the same organization from November 2013 to May 2015.

Before their time at the University of Chicago, Lori worked at Loyola University Medical Center as the Director of Physician Compensation & Financial Operations, Physician Network Operations from January 2011 to November 2013, and as the Finance Director for the Department of Medicine from December 2009 to January 2011.

Lori also had their own financial services company, Straube Financial Consulting, from 2002 to 2010, where they provided financial management services to small businesses. Lori started their career at The Toledo Hospital, where they held the positions of Financial Specialist from January 1991 to March 1994 and Junior Analyst/Analyst/Senior Analyst from 1987 to 1991.

Lori Straube holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration, which they obtained from Bowling Green State University in 1994. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Science - Business Services, with a focus on Finance and Management, at The University of Toledo in 1988.
