Georgianna Meléndez, MPA, Ph.D., currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Management at Western New England University and has been an Adjunct Lecturer at the Bertolon School of Business at Salem State University since September 2018, teaching courses in Managing Diversity in Organizations and Employee Training and Development. Meléndez has extensive involvement in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, including a prior role as Assistant Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Additionally, Meléndez is the Owner and Chief Entertainment Officer of Masterpiece Art Bar, a social painting venue. Contributions to professional development and leadership include serving on the Board of Trustees for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston and holding memberships in the Economic Assistance Coordinating Council and NAACP, among others. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Business Administration from UMass Boston and various certifications related to diversity and prevention initiatives.
