Marilee Griffin

Marilee Griffin has extensive work experience in the field of communications and marketing. Marilee currently holds the position of Director of Marketing and Communications at Western North Carolina Community Health Services. Prior to this role, they worked as an Assistant Director of Communications at UF Health Cancer Center from 2016 to 2022, where they were responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies, overseeing media relations and social media, and providing support to administrative offices. Before that, Marilee served as a Communications Specialist at UF Health from 2012 to 2016, where they handled media inquiries, created content for various platforms, and collaborated with marketing and design teams. Marilee also worked as an Editor at Maupin House Publishing, Inc. from 2010 to 2012, overseeing manuscript editing, marketing, and managing interns. Marilee's earlier experiences include working as an Editor at Atlantic Publishing Group Inc. from 2009 to 2010, where they edited manuscripts and managed author progress, and holding multiple positions at UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering from 2008 to 2009, including Associate Editor and Project Coordinator roles.

Marilee Griffin graduated from the University of Florida in 2008, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the College of Journalism and Communications.
