Kirsty Champion

Kirsty Champion is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Managing Counsel/Head of Legal Services (Acting) at Western Power since September 2015, Kirsty has held numerous positions including Senior Legal Counsel and Deputy Company Secretary. Previous experience includes legal counsel roles at UON Pty Ltd and Clayton Utz, where Kirsty notably specialized in construction and major projects, focusing on transport, energy, and resources. A part-time Legal Officer with the Australian Defence Force and earlier positions at Mallesons Stephen Jaques and the NSW Attorney General's Department further contribute to a well-rounded legal career. Kirsty holds a Masters of Law in In-House Practice and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Sydney, complemented by leadership training and qualifications in competitive systems.
