Kelly Watters

Co- Founder/ President at Western Rise

Kelly Watters has had a long and successful career in the education and fashion industries. In 2015, they became the Founder/CEO of Western Rise, a brand for the modern active man. In this role, they were responsible for managing thousands of SKUs, developing finance plans and budgets, and raising over $1 on Kickstarter. From 2012-2011, they worked at the Booth Western Art Museum & Bartow Theirtory Museum and the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, respectively, as the Program Director and Museum Education Graduate Associate. In these roles, they managed programming and outreach to 50,000 North Atlanta students and families, designed educational programs for all ages, and implemented Sunday Family Programs. In 2010, they were the Gallery Director of Cogswell Gallery, and from 2007-2008, they were the Head English Teacher of Avalon English. In this role, they developed and implemented comprehensive training and on-boarding programs for new international teachers, managed a team of 5 teachers, and built comprehensive lesson and educational materials for Pre-K to high school ESL students.

Kelly Watters attended Anderson University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelors of Arts in Studio Glass and Theirtory. Kelly then attended the University of The Arts from 2011 to 2012, where they earned a Master's Degree in Museum Education and Non-Profit Management. In 2016, they participated in the Telluride Venture Accelerator Program, focusing on Business Development.
