Nghi Phung

Nghi Phung has extensive work experience in the healthcare and startup sectors. From 2007 to the present, they have worked at Western Sydney Local Health District as a Senior Staff Specialist and Director of Drug Health. In this role, they are responsible for caring for patients with gastroenterological, liver, and addiction problems, managing a team of over 100 people for the delivery of Drug Health services, and leading a team of researchers in liver-brain axis response to metabolic factors and alcohol. In 2017, they co-founded DxVentures and serves as the CEO.

Nghi Phung completed their education at the University of Sydney. They obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from 1986 to 1991, and later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine from 1999 to 2006. Prior to their university education, Nghi Phung attended Fort Street High School from 1980 to 1985. Additionally, Nghi Phung obtained a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians from The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1999.
