Weisheng Lu

Weisheng (Weis) Lu, MHI has a comprehensive work experience in the field of digital health solutions and technology integration in healthcare. They have held various positions at different organizations, starting in 2006 as a Technology Officer/Librarian Assistant at the City of Canterbury Bankstown.

In 2008, Lu joined Northern Sydney Central Coast Health as an eMR Clinical Liaison Officer, where they were responsible for training and educating clients and end users on clinical applications support. They also provided advice on newly deployed initiatives.

Lu then moved to Northern Sydney Local Health District in 2010 as an eMR Cerner PowerChart Application Specialist, overseeing the management and maintenance of Cerner PowerChart within the electronic medical records system.

In 2012, Lu joined Chris O'Brien Lifehouse as a Clinical Technology Specialist, contributing to the transformation of cancer treatment through the integration of clinical care, research, education, and integrative therapies. They also served as the Quality & Service Improvement Manager, involved in business planning and project scoping for point-of-care workflows.

From 2016 to 2018, Lu worked as a Solutions Consultant at Oneview Healthcare, successfully deploying their solution suite to different hospitals and conducting requirements workshops.

Since 2018, Lu has been working at the Western Sydney Local Health District. They started as a Business Partner/Client Engagement at Digital Health Solutions and later took on roles such as Project Manager and Acting Director of ICT Enablement. They were responsible for the implementation of core clinical applications and the delivery of various projects related to digital health enablement. They also led the ICT commissioning of major medical equipment and played a critical role in managing key stakeholders.

Lu's latest position at Western Sydney Local Health District is as the Digital Health Innovation & Enablement Director, where they are responsible for driving digital health solutions and enabling innovation in healthcare delivery.

Weisheng (Weis) Lu, MHI has a Higher School Certificate in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from North Sydney Boys High School. Weisheng (Weis) then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics (B.Sc) at the University of Sydney from 2003 to 2005. Later, they completed a Master's degree in Health Science (Health Informatics) at the University of Sydney from 2007 to 2009, specializing in Health Technology.
