Clare MacLean Carroll

Clare Maclean Carroll serves as the Director of Academic Program for Music & Music Therapy at Western Sydney University since January 1998, focusing on teaching music theory, analysis, arranging, and composition. In addition to this role, Clare has been a composer since 1984 and previously worked as a tutor in harmony and aural skills at the University of Sydney from March 1984 to October 1985. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate of Creative Arts in Composition from Western Sydney University (2004-2009), a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the University of Sydney (1979-1982), and a Diploma of Executant Music from Victoria University of Wellington (1977-1978), complemented by secondary education at Waitaki Girl's High School and Cashmere High School (1971-1975).
