Ireni Farag

Ireni Farag is a dedicated academic and professional in the field of counselling and education. Currently serving as a Lecturer and Subject Coordinator at Western Sydney University since January 2019, Ireni also has experience as an Academic Tutor and Project Officer at the same institution. As the Counsellor and Owner of Arise Counselling Services since 2007, Ireni provides individual, couple, and family counselling. Previous academic positions include a Lecturer role at the University of Divinity and Excelsia College, focusing on counselling education. Ireni's earlier experience includes serving as a School Counsellor and Curriculum Developer at ST BISHOY COPTIC ORTHODOX COLLEGE and a Business Analyst at Optus. Ireni's academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Computing from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma of Christian Counselling from Morling College, a Graduate Diploma of Migration Law from The Australian National University, a Master of Counselling (Advanced Practice) from the University of Southern Queensland, and currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree at Flinders University.
