Karthick Thiyagarajan

Karthick Thiyagarajan is a Lecturer in Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering at Western Sydney University, where responsibilities include teaching and subject coordination for courses such as MECH3001 Advanced Dynamics and MECH3006 Mechatronics Design. In addition to this role, Karthick serves as an Adjunct Fellow and Research Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney, focusing on government and industry-funded R&D projects, notably developing intelligent robotic mobility aids for the vision impaired and innovative solutions for wastewater pipe condition assessment. Karthick holds a Ph.D. in Smart Sensing from the University of Technology Sydney, a Master of Science in Mechatronics from Newcastle University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Anna University Chennai. Previous experience includes a position as a Casual Academic at the University of Technology Sydney and as a Project Engineer at Wipro Technologies. Current research efforts are concentrated on the development of novel sensing technologies for next-generation robotics.
