Erika Loya

Erika Loya has a diverse work experience. Erika worked as the Information Systems and Security Program Director at Western Technical College, starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they were an ISS Instructor at the same institution since June 2017.

Before joining Western Technical College, Erika was a Teacher and Subject Teacher at Universidad Tecnológica de Ciudad Juárez since September 2006, with their time as a Subject Teacher ending in July 2022.

Additionally, Erika worked as a Cashier at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen from April 2011 to October 2012, and as a Teacher at Conalep Juárez II from August 2005 to December 2006.

Erika Loya began their education in 1997 at the Instituto Tecnológico de Parral, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Erika completed their studies in 2001. Later on, in 2012, they attended the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, focusing on Management Information Systems, General. Their time at this institution concluded in 2014. Additionally, Erika obtained several certifications from the Cisco Networking Academy. In February 2020, they earned the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) certification. Erika also completed the Introduction to Cybersecurity course in June 2020 and participated in the Networking Academy Learn-A-Thon in July 2020, both provided by Cisco.
