Chris Thompson

Chris Thompson currently serves as Senior Advisor in Human Resources and Interim Associate Registrar for Student Recruitment & Communications at Western University, roles undertaken since October 2024. Previously, Chris held various positions at Western University over nearly two decades, including Director of Learning & Engagement (Acting) and Senior Human Resources Consultant. Chris’s experience also encompasses a managerial role at Thames Valley District School Board and teaching positions at Fanshawe College, emphasizing expertise in human resources, learning design, and eLearning. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education from Western University and multiple professional certificates in HR law, adult education, and public sector management. Leadership experience includes serving as President of the Professional Managerial Association at Western University, advocating for professional development and engagement among members.
