Shaimaa Ali

Shaimaa Ali, PhD, P.Eng., serves as an Assistant Professor and the Inaugural Director of the Artificial Intelligence Systems Engineering Program at Western University since September 2018. Key responsibilities include program promotion, industry partnerships, faculty mentorship, student engagement, and facilitating inter-faculty collaboration. As the founder of InademyComputing since May 2016, Shaimaa has also held various academic positions, including Partial-Load Professor at Sheridan College and postdoctoral roles at Western University in both the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine and the Physics and Astronomy Department. Shaimaa's professional background encompasses software development, systems design, and significant contributions to projects involving machine learning and data analysis. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from Western University, a Master’s Degree from Alexandria University, and a Diploma in Software Development Skills.
