Mike Mason

Michael Mason has extensive work experience in financial operations and management. Michael currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Western Vista Credit Union since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President of Financial Operations at the same company from May 2019 to February 2023.

Before Western Vista Credit Union, Michael worked at Mutual of Omaha as the Director of Corporate Reporting from September 2015 to May 2018. Michael also held the role of Financial Services Administrator at the State of Nebraska from January 2015 to September 2015.

Earlier in their career, Michael was the Vice President & Controller at Midwest Holding Inc. from May 2012 to August 2014. Michael served as the Controller at WINhealth Partners from October 2008 to April 2012.

Additionally, Michael has experience in the telecommunications industry, having worked at Sprint as a Retail Store Manager from June 2004 to September 2008, a Senior Retail Sales Representative from February 2003 to May 2004, and a Senior Financial Analyst from May 1999 to February 2003.

Michael began their career at Berkshire Hathaway as a Senior Internal Auditor from October 1997 to May 1999. Prior to that, they worked as an Internal Auditor at Teledyne Technologies Incorporated from August 1994 to March 1997. Michael started their professional journey as a Staff Accountant at EY from October 1992 to June 1994.

Michael Mason earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Trinity University in the years 1988-1992. Michael later pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from the University of Phoenix from 2004-2006.
