Selena Schmit, DNP, PMHNP-BC, APRN, RN, currently serves as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Western Wisconsin Health since August 2022. Prior to this role, Selena was a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Student at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing from November 2020 to August 2022, participating in the assessment and treatment of adult and pediatric patients with various mental health conditions. Selena has extensive experience in acute mental health care, having worked as a Child Psychiatric Registered Nurse at PrairieCare and a Pediatric/Adolescent Psychiatric Registered Nurse at Mayo Clinic. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Registered Nursing from Luther College.
