Mark Young

Mark Young is a natural resource restoration ecologist and licensed landscape architect with over thirty years of experience in environmental planning, permitting, and habitat rehabilitation design. Currently, they serve as the Director of Ecological Restoration Design & Construction at Westervelt Ecological Services, overseeing extensive mitigation and habitat projects. Their prior roles include Vice President at Wildlands, Inc., and work as a researcher, where they presented at conferences on public perceptions of wetlands versus maintained landscapes. Mark is also a Board Trustee for Reclamation District 2084 and has contributed significantly to various habitat restoration efforts benefiting diverse species. They pursue a Master of Landscape Architecture at the University of Washington.
