Westerville Symphony at Otterbein University
Now in it’s 29th season the Westerville Symphony at Otterbein University is made up of 80-plus professional and semi-professional members plus students from Otterbein University. The symphony performs three Masterworks concerts annually in addition to the Sounds of the Season holiday concert. Additionally, several concerts are performed each year in cooperation with various community groups including the Tunes and Tales children’s program in collaboration with the Westerville Public Library. Geared for preschoolers, a story selection is read by a narrator and is accompanied by the orchestra. The remainder of the concerts for the symphony are part of the community outreach program which include the Young People’s Concert for all Westerville 4th grade students, the 4th of July outdoor Sounds of Freedom concert and the Sounds of Summer concert which are all free of charge.
