George Ramirez

George (Jorge) Ramirez serves as an Assistant Professor in graphic design and animation at Westfield State University since August 2017, having previously held the role of Adjunct Professor in the Art Department since September 2015. Ramirez's teaching focuses on developing engaging graphic design pedagogy for both undergraduate and continuing education students. Prior to academic positions, Ramirez worked as a Graphic Designer at Westfield State University from July 2010 to May 2017, creating branding and graphic content for the institution. Additional experience includes a tenure as a Graphic Designer at Alan Barnett Design and as a Senior Graphic Designer and Visiting Instructor at Pratt Institute, where essential skills in digital design and project management were honed. Ramirez holds a Master’s Degree in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University, as well as a Master of Public Administration from Westfield State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts/Graphic Design from the same institution.
