Erin Hetrick

Erin Hetrick is an experienced educator and advocate in the field of museum studies, currently serving as a Genius Advocate at Genius Fish since August 2011, where there is a focus on audience engagement and program development. In addition to this role, Erin has been a Substitute Teacher at Westfield Washington Schools since February 2020, fostering relationships with students and teachers. As an Instructor at Kent State University since June 2016, Erin aids graduate students in exploring museum history and contemporary practices through online education. Previous experience includes roles at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, where interaction with school groups and families occurred, and The Museum of Life and Science, where science curricula were developed for diverse learners. Erin also has a background in K-12 education, having created a Latin program at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School that achieved notable student success in national exams. Educational qualifications include an MA in Museum Studies from Indiana University Indianapolis and a BAEd in Latin and Anthropology from the University of Michigan.
