Kristin Francini Walter

Senior Vice President at Westfourth Communications

Kristin is a PR agency veteran with 20 years of national-level, integrated marketing communications experience working with both non-profit, foundation and for-profit clients. Having served as a senior leader in the healthcare practice of several of the leading public relations agencies in the nation, Kristin has spent her career focused on strengthening the brands of many of the nation’s largest health-related nonprofit organizations, building impactful campaigns often informed by research.

Prior to joining Westfourth Communications, Kristin served as Director of Communications with National 4-H working to elevate a 100-year old youth development brand owned by the Federal government to demonstrate its relevance to the needs of the world today.

Kristin also spent three years with the healthcare-focused public relations firm GYMR, developing consumer and influencer education campaigns for The American Psychiatric Association, the National Sleep Foundation, the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and the National Association of Children’s Hospitals.

Before that, Kristin worked for Porter Novelli (PN) where she built and launched the American Psychiatric Association’s “Healthy Minds, Healthy Lives” rebrand and campaign effort aimed at changing the way people and practitioners view the field of psychiatry and psychiatrists. Her other PN clients included The Alzheimer’s Association, The Heart Rhythm Foundation, the CDC and Merck-Schering Plough’s Vytorin. Kristin also worked in the Washington, DC offices of Hill & Knowlton and Ketchum Public Relations.

Kristin holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Providence College and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the Catholic University of America.
