Hanneke Counts

Hanneke Counts, PE, CSP has extensive work experience in environment, health, and safety roles. Hanneke currently holds the position of Senior Director, Global Environment, Health & Safety at Westinghouse Electric Company since September 2021. Prior to that, they spent over 20 years at Eastman Chemical Company, where they held various leadership positions including Vice President, Global Health, Safety, Environment & Security from March 2016 to June 2021. Hanneke was also Director of Global Environmental Affairs from February 2009 to March 2016. With their strong background in environmental sustainability, corporate audit services, and health and safety management, Hanneke has developed a comprehensive understanding of managing global health, safety, and environmental programs.

Hanneke Counts, PE, CSP has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering (Senior Departmental Honors, Cum Laude) from Clemson University. Hanneke also holds a Master of Engineering degree in Environmental Systems Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) from the same university. Hanneke has obtained additional certifications including a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, and Professional Engineer (PE) licenses from the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners as well as the LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF. Hanneke also holds a Wastewater Operator's License (Chemical Operations, A-Level) from the LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF.
