April Crane

April Crane has a strong background in communications and community investment. April began their career in 2004 as a marketing and investor relations professional at Securac Inc. In 2006, they joined WestJet Airlines as an Investor Relations Advisor, where they managed investor relations activities and supported internal and external communications initiatives. In 2010, they joined Talisman Energy as the Director of U.S. Communications and Community Investment, where they redefined the organization's communication strategies and managed a team in both Calgary and Houston. In 2016, April Crane became the Director of Communications at Canadian Pacific Railway, a transcontinental railway operating in Canada and the U.S. April joined WestJet in 2019 as the Director of Communications and Community Investment, where they led a team responsible for reputation and culture during a period of aviation crisis and transformational change.

April Crane is currently pursuing an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management at UCLA from 2021 to 2023. April has also obtained a Canadian Securities Designation from the Canadian Securities Institute. In addition, they hold a Bachelor of Applied Communications in Public Relations from Mount Royal University. April has also studied Business Administration and Economics at the University of Prince Edward Island. April possesses a certification in ICS-300 from FEMA, which they obtained in 2014.
