Jeffrey Young

Jeffrey Young is an experienced aviation professional with a comprehensive background in piloting and training across various airlines. Currently serving as a Captain on the B737NG/MAX at WestJet since September 2011, Jeffrey also holds the position of Training Pilot for the B737NG fleet and previously developed manuals and training programs as Interim Chief Pilot for WestJet Encore. Prior to WestJet, Jeffrey worked as a Training Captain and Check Airman at Swoop and as a Training Captain on the Dash 8 Q400 at Porter Airlines. Additional experience includes management roles at Swift Jet Charters and flight operations at Skyservice Airlines and First Air, where Jeffrey began flight operations on the Twin Otter. Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Liberty University, set to be completed in 2025, and possesses a solid academic foundation with a diploma from Brookfield High School.
