Gerlof Bouma

Gerlof Bouma is a seasoned professional in the chemical engineering industry with extensive experience in process technology and management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Automation & Robotics at Westlake since September 2025, Gerlof previously held the position of Process Technology Base Epoxy & Intermediates at Westlake Epoxy from March 2022 to September 2025. Prior to that, Gerlof worked at Hexion Inc. as Process Technology Director for BERI/Versatics and as Process Technology & Development Manager from May 2015 to February 2022. Experience also includes roles at Momentive as Process Development Manager, Black Belt, and Process Technologist from June 2009 to May 2015, and as Process Engineer at Biopetrol Industries AG from September 2007 to June 2009. Gerlof began a career in the industry at Arkema, serving as Production Engineer from September 2003 to August 2007. Gerlof holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Groningen, obtained between 1996 and 2002.
