Marlene Mercado is an accomplished Plant Manager with extensive experience in the manufacturing sector, currently serving at Westlake since February 2022. Previously, Marlene held the Plant Manager position at Hexion Inc. for six years, contributing to its leadership in thermoset resins. At Dupont, Marlene excelled in various managerial roles over nearly three decades, including leading the Houston Crop Manufacturing Site and driving key restructuring initiatives to enhance site culture and operational efficiency. Marlene's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras.
