Steven Bender

Steven Bender serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Westlake Chemical, a position held since June 2005. With extensive experience in finance, Steven previously worked at KBR, Inc. as Vice President and Treasurer from 2002 to 2005, and at Halliburton Company in the role of Assistant Treasurer from 1990 to 2002. Earlier in his career, Steven held various accounting positions and served as Assistant Treasurer at Texas Eastern Corporation from May 1978 to August 1989. Educationally, Steven earned an MBA from the SMU Cox School of Business between 1987 and 1989, and a BBA in Finance from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University from 1974 to 1978.
