Since March 2014, Taane has been serving as the Milk Supply Manager at Westland Milk Products. Prior to this role, Taane worked at Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd from May 1994 to March 2014, holding various positions including Mine Site Monitor, Surface Contracts Manager, Underground Health & Safety Advisor, and Underground Mine Worker. Responsibilities included overseeing contractors at Spring Creek Mine, ensuring compliance with safety legislation, implementing injury management systems, conducting risk assessments, and providing leadership and supervision in underground operations. Taane completed education at Greymouth High from 1990 to 1994.
