Alex Wootton

Alex Wootton is an experienced digital and business analyst currently working at Westminster City Council since July 2022 and the Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom, since July 2019. In the DfT, Wootton has contributed to the delivery of various medium and large projects, including the overhaul of the department's Correspondence and FOI management solution, and has played a significant role in process mapping and data migration. Prior to DfT, Wootton worked at the Parliamentary Digital Service from August 2013 to July 2019, focusing on open data projects and supporting telecommunication solutions within Parliament. Wootton's earlier career includes roles at Parliamentary ICT, Haringey Council Children's Services, Westminster City Council, and Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Hospitals. Wootton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from UCL, earned between 1999 and 2002.
