Safia Khokhar

Safia Khokhar is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in health protection, mental health strategy, and diversity and inclusion. Currently serving as a Health Protection and Infection Disease Control Trainee at the UK Health Security Agency, Safia has been instrumental in various roles at Westminster City Council since 2002, including Head of Service for Public Health Culture and Development, Senior Public Health Strategist, Wellbeing Diversity and Inclusion Lead, and Environmental Health Manager. Proven expertise lies in developing evidence-based strategies to enhance population well-being and promote inclusive environments. Safia has also led COVID-19 response initiatives, overseeing coordination and compliance within the council's outbreak control efforts.
