Elias Strunz

Elias Strunz is currently a Trainee at Westnetz GmbH, focusing on the identification and utilization of new technologies since September 2023. Previously, Elias conducted a diploma thesis at Amprion GmbH, where the analysis of filter concepts for reducing harmonics in meshed transmission grids was the primary focus. Additionally, Elias gained experience as a Working Student at Amprion GmbH, working on power quality and grid analyses utilizing PowerFactory and automating analyses with Python. Prior roles include a Working Student position at Netze BW GmbH, where the integration of electromobility into power grids was addressed, and an internship concentrating on charging management and data analysis. Earlier experience includes a student assistant role at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research, developing a measurement station, and a voluntary year of social service assisting individuals with mental challenges. Elias holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from Technische Universität Dresden, complemented by a semester abroad at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
