Lauren Lau

Lauren Lau has a diverse work experience in various companies. Lauren began their career in 1988 as a Group Communications Manager at Wormald International, followed by roles as a Public Relations Officer at Beca Carter in 1991 and a Public Relations Manager at DB Group from 1992 to 1994. In 1997, they joined SKYCITY Entertainment Group Limited as an Internal Communications Manager, and later moved on to Bank of New Zealand in 1999 as a Senior Manager of Internal Communications until 2006. Since 2006, they have worked at Westpac New Zealand Limited, first as the Head of Corporate Communications and now as the Head of Corporate Communications and Events since February 2017. Throughout their career, Lauren has led teams and been responsible for integrating corporate communications, developing strategic communication frameworks, and supporting employee engagement and advocacy initiatives.

Lauren Lau completed their undergraduate studies from 1981 to 1983, earning a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree with a focus on English Language and Literature. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Post Grad Journalism and Public Relations, although the details of the institution and completion date are not available.
