Lucy Frater

Lucy Frater has had an extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Lucy is currently serving as the Chapter Lead for KiwiSaver and Investment Products at Westpac New Zealand. Prior to this, they held the position of Independent Director at Karapiro Rowing Inc. Lucy worked as a Strategy Advisor to the CEO at Kiwi Wealth and served as the GM Planning & Performance for Digital & Technology at Kiwibank. Lucy also worked at Commonwealth Bank as the Head of Transformation for ASB Corporate Strategy and as the Executive Manager for Retail Bank Strategy. Lucy started their career as a Strategy Consultant at Bain & Company and later held the role of Head of Payment Product Ecosystem, My Business Hub at Worldpay. Before that, they worked at McKinsey & Company as an Associate and Junior Engagement Manager. Lucy also gained experience at Spark New Zealand as a Business Strategy Manager and at Jarden as an Investment Banking Analyst.

Lucy Frater has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from The Wharton School, which was obtained from 2011 to 2013. Lucy also has a Master's Degree in International Studies with a focus on French language and culture from The Lauder Institute - University of Pennsylvania, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. In addition, they hold a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in International Business, Finance, and Marketing from the University of Otago, obtained from 2002 to 2006. Lucy also spent a semester at HEC Paris in 2005 for an exchange program in Commerce and French. Lucy has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in French and Economics from the University of Otago, obtained from 2002 to 2006. Furthermore, they have a certification as a Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org, obtained in 2018.
