Max Bania

Max Bania is an experienced communications and media professional with a strong background in external communications, marketing, and media relations. Currently serving as Senior Manager of External Communications at Westpac New Zealand since November 2018, Max has also held roles including Senior Marketing Manager for Sponsorship and Media Relations Manager at the same institution. Prior to this, Max worked at Al Jazeera Media Network as a Producer and Assistant Programme Editor from March 2016 to November 2018. Max's career began at TVNZ from January 2009 to February 2016, where responsibilities included Reporter, News Producer, and Online Reporter in a freelance capacity. Max holds a Master’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Otago, completed between 2003 and 2008, and a high school education from Sydney Grammar School, obtained from 1997 to 2002.
