Christopher Hughes

Christopher Hughes is an accomplished banking and finance professional with extensive leadership experience across various high-profile organizations. Currently serving as Head of Divisional Risk for Consumer & Business Banking at Westpac since May 2017, Christopher has held multiple key leadership roles within the bank, including Head of Business Management for Cash Management and Chief Operating Officer for Global Transaction Services. Prior to Westpac, Christopher held significant positions at Shine Lawyers Ltd, Presto, Barclays Corporate Banking, and Nomura International, among others, contributing to financial management, strategic development, and corporate integration. Christopher began a career in law as a solicitor at Blake Dawson and has built a robust foundation in finance and consulting, including a pivotal role at Accenture. Christopher holds a law degree from Bond University and a Senior Certificate from The Southport School.
