Nigel Bond

Nigel Bond is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in general counsel roles within major banking institutions. Currently serving as General Counsel for Consumer, Business & Wealth and Technology and COO, Legal at Westpac since August 2023, Nigel has been with the Westpac Group since October 2014, holding various senior legal positions including General Counsel for Consumer, Business and Specialist Businesses. Prior to Westpac, Nigel was General Counsel for Asia Pacific at The Royal Bank of Scotland Plc, overseeing a team across multiple jurisdictions. Previous positions include leadership roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland, ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Clifford Chance LLP, and Herbert Smith Freehills. Nigel holds a Graduate Diploma in Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia and a degree in Law and Science from The Australian National University.
