Richard Rappaport has extensive experience in investment banking and finance. Richard is currently the CEO and Founder of WestPark Capital, an investment bank specializing in emerging growth sectors. Richard provides strategic leadership, oversees financial management, and maintains relationships with clients, partners, and employees. Prior to WestPark Capital, Richard worked as the Managing Director of Investment Banking at Global Capital Securities and Joseph Charles & Associates. Richard also served as the Managing Director at HJ Meyers & Co, where they led the firm's public offerings and completed numerous transactions.
Richard Rappaport earned a Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. Richard then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at UCLA from 1986 to 1988. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Richard briefly attended Georgetown University, where they focused on Political & Economic Systems until 1979. Richard also holds several certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), including a General Securities Principal certification, a General Securities Representative (GS) License, a Limited Representative - Equity Trader certification, a Limited Representative - Investment Banker certification, and a Uniform Securities Agent License.
