Kyle Hookstra

Kyle Hookstra has over a decade of experience in the coffee industry, currently serving as the Commodities Quality Manager at Westrock Coffee Company since June 2012, where roles have included Sensory/Cupping Lab Tech, Coffee Roaster, and Account Executive. Prior experience includes customer support at mindWireless and event technology supervision at Westin Austin at The Domain. Development of creative skills occurred through positions as a Creative Consultant at Austin Bible and Coffee Master/Barista at Starbucks. Earlier roles included teaching and mentoring at Jendouba Academy and serving as Assistant Creative Arts Director at Fellowship Bible Church Little Rock, where extensive involvement in creative production was undertaken. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Sterling College, an Alternative Certification in English Language Arts and Reading, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Coffee Excellence from ZHAW School of Life Sciences and Facility Management.
