Westside Building Material Corporation

Our goal is to be the premier source of supply for interior/exterior wall, ceiling systems and related construction products in the markets we serve. Our mission is to "DO IT RIGHT." It is our commitment to deal with our employees, customers and suppliers in a fair, honest and professional manner. We are a family owned business started by Beulah and Evan Peckham in 1935 to serve the lathe and plaster trades in the West Los Angeles area. The business survived throughout World War II and in the following years continued to flourish. Beulah and Evan’s son Virgil took over active management of the company in 1946. As business continued to grow, a branch yard was opened in Anaheim in 1953. Upon the sudden death of Virgil, his son Richard returned from the Navy in 1966 to take over the management of the company. Westside still remains a family owned and service oriented business. Today, in addition to our Anaheim location, we have facilities in Oakland, Hesperia, Las Vegas, Chatsworth, San Diego, National City, Lancaster, Fresno and Santa Maria. Bill Peckham, son of Richard is now the fourth generation actively managing the business.
