Laura Smith

Laura Smith has a diverse work experience in finance and management roles. Laura started their career in 1991 as an Office Manager at St. George's Episcopal Church & School. In 1996, they joined Westwood Country Club of Austin as an Accounts Payable Manager and later became the Controller. Laura then served as the Chief Financial Officer / Interim General Manager and is currently the Chief Financial Officer at the same company. Throughout their career, Laura has demonstrated strong financial management skills and leadership abilities.

Laura Smith obtained an Associate's degree in Commercial and Advertising Art from Austin Community College from 1980 to 1985. Laura then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and Business/Management from Concordia University Texas, graduating in 1995. In 1995-1996, they furthered their education by completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the same field at St. Edward's University. Additionally, in September 2013, Laura obtained the certification of Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) from the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®).
