David Winchell lll has a diverse work experience in various industries. David began their career in 2015 as a Lifeguard at Wells Ocean Rescue and worked there until 2018. Following that, they worked as a Driver for Tip Whip from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, they joined John Turner Consulting, Inc. as a Field Tech and stayed there until 2022. David then worked as a Research and Development Designer at Flexware Control Technologies from 2021 to 2022. From 2022 to 2023, they worked as a Transportation Engineer EIT at CONSOR Engineers. Currently, they hold the role of Electrical Engineering Designer at Westwood Professional Services, starting from 2023.

David Winchell III began their education by obtaining a high school diploma in High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from Sanford High School. After completing high school, they attended York County Community College from 2015 to 2017, where they pursued Mechanical Drafting and Mechanical Drafting CAD/CADD. David then continued their education at the University of Maine from 2017 to 2021, earning a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, David also obtained several certifications. In May 2020, they completed Hazardous Materials D.O.T Training- Portable Nuclear Gauge from the Maine Department of Transportation. David also received certification in Portable Nuclear Density/Moisture Gauge Use and Safety Training from the American Technical Institute in the same month. In August 2016, they obtained CSWA certification from the SolidWorks Authorized Training Centre.
