Alyson Brokenshire

Alyson Brokenshire has significant experience in development and fundraising, currently serving as Senior Director for PBS NewsHour at WETA since April 2013, focusing on principal and major gifts. Prior to this role, Alyson worked as Director of Development at Imagination Stage from February 2008 to March 2013 and held various positions at the Washington Performing Arts Society, including Director of Major Gifts, Membership Manager, and Major Gifts Associate from January 2003 to January 2008. Earlier in their career, Alyson gained experience as a Development Associate at Capital Development Strategies from April 2002 to December 2002. Academically, Alyson holds a Master’s degree in Dance and Arts Management from American University and a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in English Language and Linguistics and Dance from the University of Surrey.
